Take your class from good to great by weaving a theme from start to finish. Learn how to use storytelling, mythology, mudras, and mantras to enchant the imaginations of your students and pull them deeper into their experience. Develop your skills on centering it all around one basic concept for class.

This workshop will end in an experience of a themed class that weaves the above concepts into a cohesive yoga experience. 

Geared toward current teachers and teachers in training, 4 hours of CE credit for Yoga Alliance is available.

From the Inside Out: A Summer Solstice Yoga Retreat

Many of us exist in the world aligning our actions, values, and behaviors with an outside idea of what is right and what is wrong. In this summer solstice yoga retreat, learn to be in the world from the inside out - align your actions, values, and behaviors with your internal compass. Enjoy two yin classes, a yoga mala (108 sun salutations) and one vinyasa practice, and study Patanjali's yoga sutras from a personal perspective. Optional morning meditation sessions, a chance to celebrate the lightest day of the year, and great company will round out this weekend experience one hour from Kansas City. Vegetarian meals and all accommodations are included in this practice-enhancing opportunity.

  • Cabin - $350
    • Cabins are stand-alone buildings in the heart of the woods. All cabins include a full service bathroom, a window air conditioner, and a kitchen, including a stove, fridge, and coffee maker. All cabins include a porch to enjoy the late sun.
  • Hermitage - $260
    • Hermitages are stand-alone buildings deeper in the woods. All hermitages include a hot plate, coffee maker, electricity, and a window air conditioner. Hermitages do NOT have running water or bathrooms, but showers and restrooms are available at the main building (approximately a 10 minute walk).

This four-hour New Moon Gathering is a unique offering of storytelling, movement, playfulness, creativity, and community from collaborators Sedona Alvarez, Amie Rader, and Jamie Winter Dawson.

-Full asana (physical yoga postures) practice with juicy movement inspired by the current moon phase

The fall harvest and the equinox has traditionally been the celebration of the year's work and acknowledgement into the descent into the final and darkest quarter of the year. Two yin practices and two hatha/flow practices will be structured around acknowledging, celebrating, and honoring the descent into dark, not as something to fear but rather as a deeply nourishing and healing experience. Bloom into Being: Full Practice May

May is the time to blossom and bloom our heart's desire, after a long winter and the dampness of the entry to Spring. This month's two hour practice will include mudra, mantra, asana, and meditation, designed to blossom open the heart to our full desires. We will draw inspiration from the lotus flower, which blooms from mud, the transmutation of the caterpillar into the butterfly, and Anais Nin's famous quote: "The time came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom."

Nourish Your Roots: Full Practice April

April showers bring May flowers. In this month's Full Practice, two hour class, expect a mixture of mudra, mantra, asana, and meditation to nourish and grow the foundation of the practice. Our inspiration will be the goddess Saraswati, the goddess of flow. Saraswati governs our intellect, arts, culture, and her ability to transform herself into water once saved the world from the destructive agni (or fire) from Shiva's intense practices.

Our intention will be to open ourselves with love through stories of Lakshmi, the goddess of love and abundance, and create space in our lives to give and receive the love we deserve.

Join our comprehensive Yoga 101 program. We will go over basic yoga postures, how to adapt them for different body types, and learn about the many other aspects of yoga. It’s the perfect all-encompassing introduction to yoga. Each session will have approximately 15-30 minutes of classroom education, and 30-45 minutes of movement.
